Dish PVR vs Dish Network with Tivo

TiVo works with cable, satellite and even antenna. Tivo Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) are also compatible with most DISH network receivers. If your satellite receiver supports IR control (most do), Tivo should work with your satellite TV service. However, if you have a receiver that does not support IR control, your Tivo DVR will not be able to change channels to record shows.

Tivo currently has some advantages such as keyword searches, and theme channels where as DishPVR does not.
